Full Plate of Racing Next Year
With triathlon getting more and more popular, nowadays you have to register for races a full year in advance. This is especially true with Ironman distance races. There are only 5 licensed Ironman races in the US and they all sell out, some faster than others. I have finished 2 Ironman triathlons before in 2000 and 2002, so it's been a while. Next year I am registered for 2 Ironman races, the first one is Ironman Arizona in mid April and the other is Ironman USA in late July. Arizona is held in Tempe and USA is in Lake Placid, NY. My best buddy, Danny, is also doing both and my brother Mike is doing Arizona with us. Training will be tough but with partners it's a lot easier.

It is July 22 and according to mapquest it is a 5 and a half hour drive (330 miles) from Middletown to Lake Placid.
