Happy Anniversary Wifey McPreggo!

7 years have gone by and it feels like just 7 minutes..... UNDERWATER! Just kidding. Sure is an exciting time in our marriage with Emma growing up right before our eyes and Grace almost ready to join in on the fun. I love you and what we have going. But I am looking forward to getting that baby out so we can get back to "normal" ;)

Happy Anniversary to my best friend. Thank you for all your love and belief in me. Marriage is not always easy, but you were always on my side. I love you Steven, and look forward to many more years with you by my side.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband, Steven. He is an amazing father to Emma.
I love watching them together...it's so carefree and fun. She is very outgoing and daring because
of him. Steven you play such an active role in her life and I thank you for all the love and support you provide both of us. I look forward to welcoming our new little miracle soon and our family growing larger. We are all better people because of you; Emma and "Grace" are lucky to have you as their dad, and I am grateful to have you as my husband. I love you Steven. Happy Father's Day.

Steven and I both, sadly, on this day cannot call our dad's and say Happy Father's Day. However, we can speak to them in our own ways and feel close to them as much as possible with the memories we have and the lessons they have taught us in our life. We miss them both dearly and know that they are with us. Happy Father's Day dad.

This was Emma's very first performance of any kind. We walked into a big room full of mom's and daughters all busy curling hair and applying hair spray, bright lipstick, and dark makeup. I turned to Emma and asked if she wanted to wear some of mommies lip gloss! I am not the typical "Dance Mom". I felt like I was at a beauty contest. Needless to say, all the girls did look so cute and I was excited for Emma to perform in "Calendar Girl" and "Butterfly Kisses". At the same time, I was very nervous for her because she is very shy and was performing on a big stage with lights and a huge audience. I had a former student video tape Emma so that I could be back and forth in the audience and backstage helping her get ready. (Steven was out of town) Her first performance was up and she lined up in the hallway with the rest of her classmates. I told her good luck, gave her a kiss and said I would see her when she finished...then I walked away....looking back she was waving and very excited, not exactly what I was expecting. To make a long story short, she did really well on both dances and had a lot of fun. When it was over she had a stuffed animal with lipgloss and candy waiting for her from me and flowers from her Nana and she was really proud of herself. The video is about 12 minutes long and includes both of her performances and the finale. Hope you enjoy! I know I did.

So this weekend was a really cool trail race in Cloudcroft, NM, which is at 8,668 ft!  I wanted to run it because it was free for kids under 18 and I invited several XC kids along and we had a great time.  It is awesome to have teenagers that actually want to go and run 8 miles with you in June.  I look forward to the future of Socorro XC.  Here are some pics from the race thanks to Lindsey.  In the first one you can see Misha to my right and Tim to my left.  The third one is me finishing in 4th place overall and the last pic is the Socorro crew with all da bling!  Thanks to Mr. Terry for allowing us to stay the night in Cloudcroft!

I didn't take many pictures as I was busy racing and I didn't have Mrs. Wifey McPreggo to take any as she had class.  Here are a few I did get with the help of Marlene.  In no particular order, I am having a post-race popsicle with my niece and nephew, hanging in transition with my bros, running to the finish, leaving on the bike, Mike being Mike, and with my big bro.  It was a great weekend of friends and racing.  We had lots of laughs and sore legs when it was all over.
