Steven and I walked Emma into her new Pre-Kinder class on Monday, which was heart breaking to say the least. We were very excited for her, but at the same time, sad that she is getting older. Before we left the house, I drew a heart inside her hand like the Walmart commercial so when she was at school she could open her hand and see the heart and know that we love her. It was so cute because the teacher had the kids go to the bathroom to wash their hands after breakfast and she said "mom, I don't want to wash my hands because my heart will come off". I wanted to cry! At the end of the day, she said she had a good time... the following two days she has had a difference of opinion about school, but it will just take time!

That's so sweet. For an instant I thought about doing that with Carter but I don't know if he would like a heart on his hand. Maybe I could draw a star wars guy, but then I guess it defeats the whole purpose of it being a heart.
